Conserving whales could help mitigate climate change - PACIFIC ISLANDS OCEAN

Conserving whales globally could remove up to 160,000 tons of carbon annually via whale falls, and just a 1% increase in phytoplankton due to whale poo could sequester hundreds of millions of tons of CO2 per year, equivalent to two billion trees.
