My name is Rexly Bune.  I was one of the first students to obtain a certificate in Climate Change from the Vanuatu Institute of Technology.  Now I am a volunteer with the Santo Sunset Environment Network helping villages establish conservation areas in the remote Western Santo region of Vanuatu.  The area has been designated as the Santo Mountain Chain Biodiversity Hotspot by the IUCN.  As a youth, I was able to work with young people in the villages to make sure they had a say in the rules and bylaws of the conservation areas and play a role in the governance.
