The Global Tree Assessment in the South Pacific
Across the South Pacific, there are 5,692 native tree species of which 75% are endemic to the region. As part of the Global Tree Assessment, conservation assessments for all trees in the South Pacific will be produced in addition to national red list schemes to help prioritise tree conservation action. This will build on the 2,000 assessment already available for trees of the South Pacific available online.
